The US-led crackdown on A/I and their NoBlogs platform was a significant blow to free communication. But "freedom is a pure idea, it occurs spontaneously and without instruction". Thus alternatives are already popping up, and here is one that seems interesting.

On this day in 1999, Swedish syndicalist Björn Söderberg was murdered by nazis outside his home in Stockholm.@yama Anti-fascism can take many forms. One of the most fruitful is simply making fascist organizing as difficult and unfun as possible, exposing and ostracizing them, and working to create exit-opportunities for those that honestly reconsider their choice and want to return to a normal life.
Another is creating the visions and practical alternatives that make fascism uninteresting in the first place, and working for social change that undercuts the socioeconomic conditions that create the breeding ground for it in the first place.
Between all that, of course we should defend ourselves, our movements and our communities by any means necessary when the need arises. But violence is something we should do reluctantly, without any glorification, and as a last resort. Because in the end, it's not our language, it is the language of fascism and authority.

He had raised the alarm that a nazi was infiltrating a union at his workplace, and was killed as retaliation. Every year since, he is remembered for his courage, and acts as an inspiration in the fight against fascism. Rest in power Björn.

There's a new space for the "radical left" in Sweden (or anyone who speaks Swedish really) online. There's a new space for the "radical left" in Sweden (or anyone who speaks Swedish really) online. It is an "old school" forum, which is an interesting concept to return to. We are not involved in creating this, but some of us have registered, and are checking it out. Would be cool to see other Swedish speaking anarchists there to see if it can become a useful tool for theorizing and organizing.
