@Pepijn I suggest Ubuntu, it’s very straightforward and user-friendly. Firefox will work fine, I also like the Vivaldi browser. LibreOffice for text editing and spreadsheets. Audacity will just work. I don’t know much about Photoshop, but try Gimp and see if it does what you need.
