Privatisation was trialled in the 80's and 90's, and a lot of the damage it's done is still playing out, yet every time people still crawl out of the woodwork saying the government sucks without evidence. Where on Earth does the private sector provide better services?

@mrundkvist I can understand this intellectually, but spiritually I choose to believe that grim warriors set forth under black sails (possibly wearing corpsepaint if they were Norwegian) to revel in nihilistic and grim slaughter of the English, poseurs, and anyone else not trve enough to join them.

@Daojoan the fact that the only time I see anything close to that kind of behaviour is when there's a Xitter or Bluesky exodus (or the forkiverse...) is why I love the fediverse.

Meanwhile every other site's primary content is screenshots where someone commented on ragebait, posted a 'clapback', then immediately screenshot it and cross posted it as 'x DESTROYED/RIPPED'. To be recycled the next day by content farm articles telling people what they want to here. The internet human centipede.

@futurebird I hope enough people wake up to the fact that he's engaging in such obvious misdirection meaning he's aware that he's breaking the law (yes it's all technically legal and it's considered avoidance, not evasion - it shouldn't be). He has consciousness of guilt, and he's arrogant enough to think he can hide it.

The fact that he even feels compelled to try to hide it in public instead of skipping the interview, tells me he fears the guillotine. Things are getting better.

Anyone who wants to uplift workers would understand the struggle of sex workers is no different, you sell a piece of your soul to earn a living, and you should get the respect and conditions everyone deserves in return for your labour. Their struggle is no different because it gets grandma or your divorced uncle in a tizz.
