@mszll The Danish government has a service, Gsearch, which unfortunately closes down November 1st. This provides polygons with coordinates for towns, both large and small. There are several services, but the relevant one is "stednavn". It requires a free token.

The API facilitates searches, but you might just want to fetch all for local storage as it is going offline in November.
