Are we all millenials here or is that a misperception? -
Are we all millenials here or is that a misperception?@thordis The new forkiverse people might be millennial leaning, but the rest of masto tends to be older.

Hello, all!@Jude_theone479001 @lizardmcguire Add in: the star only shows someone you saw their post. There's no algorithm attached to it. And the boost button only shares the post with people who follow you already. If there's a hashtag in it anyone who follows the hashtag will already see it, so when you see the same piece of moss 7 times in one day it means everyone you follow who follows the tag is boosting it into your timeline again. That's why I'm wanton with my likes but careful with my boosts.

Shot in the dark but is anyone else here a teacher?@RoRo Oh great! I've been in Japan since forever, used to teach JHS and HS English, now at uni. at mark jezebelkat@famichiki.jp also has a lot if experience in this area. (Removed the first at so I'm not tagging them into the conversation without any warning). "Best practices" is a highly variable term, but sounds like the curriculum needs a re-work. Any specific issues?

Shot in the dark but is anyone else here a teacher?@RoRo I teach, develop curriculum, NA teaching quals but don't teach in NA. I totally get the revision-in-isolation feeling. Not sure if I can help any, but am happy to be a sounding board! What grades & kinds of literacy are you working on? What problems are you aiming to solve?
