There are also other public #EV charging points, such as in car parks, at shops and other publicly accessible locations. This brings Amsterdam to over 16,000 charging points. This means that the city has more public charging points than countries such as Portugal or Poland.

From 100 to 10,000 in 15 years: that means that on average, approximately one #EV charging station (with two charging points) was built per day in #Amsterdam.

This harmonisation is a major step forward. It is important that Member States (looking particularly at Germany here ) do not impose additional requirements on top of this – a single European market for EV charging points benefits everyone.

Today, the European Council approved the new version of the Measuring Instruments Directive. The Parliament had already approved the compromise reached.
48 months after publication (i.e. mid-2030), new EV charging points in the European Union must comply with the new, harmonised requirements.
