My first post on Mastodon, as well as my first day in the Fediverse and a new start away from the bin-fire that is Faceb00k. -
"My husband complains about the cold," the man said.I could even be argued that all of our current tech is, in one form or another, based on textiles. See the discussion in the attatched vid. The referenced book is interesting, too.
In the book, the author actually references "simple" string bags as being a seminal innovation. (& also a lot more labor intensive than you'd think.)

But I'm also remembering the phase of the NoDAPL protests where the fash turned firehoses on the protesters in the dead of Dakota winter and...maaaaybe that's not a tactic we want to remind them of.
