They don't wan't insignificant investors muddying up their rich people shit. They need trilions in investments. Part of these ETF's are to mine that money from retirement accounts that invest in hedge funds (see the spacex fiasco). They are also trying to raise money with really risky bonds that should have much higher yields for the amount of risk.

My mom called me freaking out yesterday. This is basically the gist of what I told her. It's all part of the hype machine. AI has raised about as much as they can from the US now and they are now trying to court European investors and this shit just happens to coincide with that and what you mentioned about Nvidia. They need the money spigot open and every tine somebody tries to shut it, they pull some shit like this. To VC investors it says...

Probably the best way to fight would be to rebuild this infrastructure over tor in a decentralized platform anybody could set up and run on their own servers. Resilliance and decentralization are inter-related concepts. Without desentralization you can't really have resilient infrastructure. Single points of failure fail when attacked. I think when we rebuild this, it should be using something like WriteFreely as the base. Expect more attacks like this since it works for them.
