@eff Again, if the dictator actively refuses to wield his or her powers, then we wouldn't have a problem here. The best way to not abuse your power is to put yourself in a situation where you are habituated to not using it.

@amydiehl I wouldn't call the tradwife lifestyle sexist, after all, people can make their own decisions even if its not my kind of thing. That said, from a division of labor perspective, if one spouse is able to bring in enough money to run the entire house and then some, then it makes sense for the other spouse to focus on the home so that the spouse that makes the money can make as much money as possible. Then again, it doesn't really matter who is the breadwinner and who manages the house so long as it is consensual. it just makes sense that the person who brings in the money should specialize in bringing home as much money as possible to provide for the family.

@danwentzel Medicare is a shit program anyways and obamacare was written by the healthcare lobby. I say the federal government puts 100 dollars per citizen, each employer puts 100 dollars per employee and each citizen puts 100 dollars into a healthcare trust fund, which buys healthcare directly on behalf of each citizen paying directly and indirectly into the system, and because this would make the US government the largest buyer of bulk healthcare to date, they can negotiate dirt cheap prices, and corporations that don't play along will lose lots of money when sales are not gauranteed.

@blogdiva If it was created by a robot, then the work has less value than if a human created it. I can still enjoy the music, but I don't think that robots should be able to claim ad revenue. That said, this is platforms using ai generated music to keep more of the revenue pool for themselves, or by spammers to take a slice of the pie without putting in the work. It doesn't matter if people actually like the music because robots are the primary audience.
