I remember a history teacher saying, “when Iowa housewives turned against the Vietnam War, then it was inevitable we would end it.”

This feels like a 1970 Kent State Univ. massacre moment.

When enough white Americans turn against government authoritarianism/fascism, then things start to shift.

We don’t need all the Trump/MAGA cultists to wake up — just enough white Americans to see this as their struggle too. It shouldn’t be this way, but that has been American history.

Sadly, there will be millions more Americans who finally care about the horrible actions of ICE now that they have killed a white woman.

Yes, fascism will eventually come for everyone. Everyone.

So, we are all agreed...

We are not doing a 2021 repeat of "moving on' with "unity" and "bipartisanship" when this era of authoritarianism is mercifully over.

We are prioritizing "accountability" and bringing these criminal bastards to "justice", right?

Only a historical precedent of holding these bastards accountable could ever prevent its repeat.

Throughout history corporations and their leadership have a terrible record when it comes to authoritarianism.

They will almost always disappoint anyone hoping they risk losing even a dime to stand up for democracy.

“We have a fiduciary responsibility to our stockholders.”

It is always a pleasant surprise when a corporate leader does the right thing.
