Suppose you join a new club, or start a new job and meet a group of 15 to 20 new people all at once.@futurebird It's about context. Working as a conselour at summercamp - yes - it's bad, kids might feel un-favoured when i remember one name and not the other.
After 2 weeks meeting the same person at a pub - no, not at all.
It's greast when somwone "forgets" mine because i forget names all the time.

The processes behind is what creates the magick of a human intellect. There is NO 10-point list for that. None of us got something from g#d that made us better/cooler/smarter than the next guy. It's just luck (Quoring: Joni Mitchell & Chalie Mingus, Dry Cleaner from Des Moines).

A GOOD school will applaud that intellectual journey. Unfortunately most edu systems uses math/hard science to teach obediance. I had my way of doing division, the REAL teacher gave me creds (5 of 5).
Then next term another "teatcher" went mainstream an gave me grade 1 for being who i was; that is using my own method. Because i could not LEARN to use the laddder (or some such bs). Fascism, actually. -

That helps with understanding. As opposed to using an LLM btw.

Back when my daughter was a wee one, they hade the concept of "10-friends" in school. Memorize 1 for 9, 2 for 8, 3 for 7 and 4 for 6 (5 of couse and, 0 for 10). Thats it! One gets that memorized (backbone level) and methodology for in-head-math will pop up. Beautiful if mentors do credit kids for re-inventing math /methodologies/. I hope this is legible.

I had a hard time believing "CoPilot, plagiarize my brown colleague's work so I get the credit" would be an ad they'd run but ... it's a real thing.
