Asio flammeus (short-eared owl). Oddly, the "ears" aren't actually ears but rather tuffs of feathers that they can raise or lower depending on mood. And checkout the eye makeup--lol! SEOWs have low breeding site fidelity, they don't breed in the same place each year. That makes it very hard to determine population size. I participated in a multi-year study to attempt to determine SEOW population in the West:

The product ain't broke so don't brake it. I don't know if it's a positive pitch, but if big tech social media users loath billionaires, then they need to stop empowering them with their presence on their platforms.
