HOLY CRAP!!! So tl;dr - EVERYTHING necessary to create life, including all 5 nucleotide bases, 14 of 20 protogenic amino acids, ribose, and glucose on the asteroid Bennu (which we landed a probe on and then brought samples back to earth from). ALONG WITH THIS!!! We found an oxygen and nitrogen rich substance that's like gum that's not been seen in space before, and a TON of dust from supernovae. Just one little sample from Bennu, approximately the size of an egg, returned all of this information. And the coolest part? This lends credence to the panspermia theory (that life was seeded on earth by something like an asteroid/multiple asteroids hitting it while carrying the necessary ingredients for life. So an asteroid like Bennu!). This is WILD and such a cool discovery!
