Capitalism is so ingrained in our collective discourse that we say that billionaires are "worth" $x,000,000,000.
They believe that. They believe they are superior and their money and power show it.
They think those with little or no wealth, or debt are "worthless".
And our media repeat this endlessly.
They seek even more wealth and power because they are in competition with other billionaires.
They also seek immortality, because that is all they need to become gods.
That may be a good move. My wife tripped and fell down three steps.
She put her arms out in front and broke both elbows.
She's still in pain, 35 years later.
We'll never know if a broken face would have been worse.
I'm not sure how my brain learned it, but, even though I automatically caught a falling cup today, before I consciously realized it, I also stepped back from a falling knife recently. Again, before I knew what was happening.
