@mrundkvist I have had guest students from Spain and Italy and listening to the girls I really understand that those countries have a problem (and probably paralleling Japan) "inspiring" the girls to form "traditional" families.
Also, to me, the shrinking of the population is only a problem if you are married to the current robber-baron-model of economy.
