And about platform usage. I agree, individuals should not be responsible to only select those platforms that are inline with democratic principles.
But in a democratic polity, anyone carrying responsibility must avoid giving platforms weight that are actively undermining democracy.
Any politician that still publishes anything outside of administrative announcements on X for example, is for me, shirking responsibility. it is laziness at the best.
The thing which has given neoliberalism its most nasty edge: it has set up a permission structure for privatizing the wins and collectivizing the losses. The people that are winning are then encouraged to see this as a sign of their exceptional worth. And they are given full permission to buy political and judicial decision taking.
This creates a cascading positive feedback loop of disastrous proportions. Supremacy and cultism then kick in when collapse fear spreads.
