I forgot it in my drafts to post yesterday. Anyway, it still matters:

27 years ago Mathew Shepard was killed because he was #gay. He was 21, I was 18. It was the first murder of a gay person that actively recognized. The first murder of a gay person that reached me via „regular news“ because it was so brutal.

I was scared after I read about Mathew’s death. I was afraid. Because he did nothing except existing.

Because that is what #queer people want: exist in peace.

So please just let us.
