@jwcph @sundogplanets Biggest eel I encountered was in 1976 and circa. 5 feet long. I was 15. We caught it after it bit me on the calf crossing a stagnant section of river in Kerikeri, NZ. We took a photo of it with its head cut off and held level with my eyes and its tail an inch or so off the ground. Still have the scar.
