@FediTips I mean, if the video is already on Youtube there might be no way (unless it happens right after the original is uploaded) to know (without watching the video copied
to PeerTube) that it was altered (I'm not talking about new uploads, or at least not videos that haven't been for a while on Youtube - doing what they want to do with the videos has to take some time, even if it is fast).
And knowing Big Tech, we all know that sooner rather than later they'll do their alterations while the video is being processed (after the upload) and before being posted (might not fool everyone, but they only need a small part, like they did with ads on videos uploaded by accounts that had no way to receive ad revenue - they did it to my "channel" years ago).

YouTube is now using AI to alter people's videos without permission.@FediTips and having content created for YouTube on PeerTube is a nice positive externality. One thing Youtubers need to understand is that the copying/import facility that PeerTube provides isn't a solution, there should be a specific upload to PeerTube and not a simple backup from YouTube (the later risks having the Big Tech altered video on PeerTube).
