@aesthr I "love" how every time someone discovers this crap, everyone else is shocked and a few people get really anxious about having fucked up at least one important file by this anti-feature without noticing it.
Everyone hates it, but MS won't even add an opt-out setting like they did for their overzealous data conversions (everything is a date!)

related to this bullshit: excel can't open two files with the same name (but different paths), but it can have multiple windows for the same file.
