You know your stuff! I did read in an article (sorry I didn't save the link) that an advantage of the Gripen is that the source code is available. After recent events, this appears to be a major plus in this rapidly shifting world. My main point is that the US has been deeply compromised and is not a trustworthy partner at this time. Will that change? I don't know.

@tokeriis @randahl I read the tech is proprietary so the planes must be serviced by the US. I also read there was the ability to deactivate systems. Perhaps that is incorrect.

Good. It's madness to purchase something so essential to national security that can simply be turned off on a whim by the seller. I read that is possible with these F-35s. Kind of like that Starlink thingy owned by a psycho billionaire freak.
