@jwildeboer I'm constantly amazed by this. I live in Arizona (in the United States). It's a desert where 115F (46C) is common. The sun beats down on us to the point being without AC can be a death sentence, and you'd be shocked at the number of people here who have only negative opinions of solar power. It should be ubiquitous. Every structure should be lined with it with batteries in every building. It's just not the case, and it's nothing short of flabbergasting.

When renewables flood the grid with more electricity than is needed at that moment, we don’t say „How wonderful! -
Looks I have about 28 people who follow me that currently live on mastodon.cloud.@msokolov I have a python script that pulls it from the API. It's kinda annoying because pulling any significant number of followers maxes your quota pretty quickly, but there's built in pauses to get around that. It just takes a while to run.

Looks I have about 28 people who follow me that currently live on mastodon.cloud. The moderators and admins of Fosstodon have decided they're going to defederate from this instance because it's unmoderated. The admin(s) have been inactive for ~3 years and the software is out of date. Because it's got open registration and no moderation, it's being used by less scrupulous individuals for spam and other not to be mentioned material. If at all possible, please move to a maintained server. Please.
