@jwcph guitar gear is also odd. What other industry can you plug something brand new, like a guitar, into an amp made in the 1950s and not only expect it to just work but also to sound really good.

Maybe I’m jaded from the bicycle, car and computer industries?

Maybe there are other examples of where you can plug end user consumer stuff together from decades apart?

@ldmay65 Yes, I've got a lot of tab and videos on my computer, and I'm trying to just play without needing my computer or phone.

It's much nicer, I can go play outside in the shade too

I got a second hand one, but there are some old school wooden metronomes still being made. I guess they look really good on top of a piano too.

Yeah, It goes with my 1999 guitar

So anyhoo I was using a metronome app on my phone, and I kept getting adverts for malware. See picture, and note the bit at the top, saying I needed to install an app because my device had been hacked.
This is an advert.

Anyhow I rage bought an actual wooden metronome
