@renkotsuban No offense, but I have already shown the examples that the idea is currently used, not the obsolete ancient culture.
And the knowledge of cultural contexts is beneficial in terms of ,multicultural exchange such as mastodon, although it may not be necessary for the specific purpose of learning Japanese. I didn't intend to offer lecture on Japanese language but reacted to my timeline regarding our culture.

Can people please read the posts they are quote-posting before they do it, this is literally not what I was talking about.@renkotsuban Sorry, but I meant that the twelve division the basis of the name/notion Oyatsu (The Eight snack) and it goes back further to the world recognition system of ancient China.
It is not unrelated and is reflected even the common word "o-yatsu" (the eighth snack), and the use of "eighth" by native speakers would be impossible without this cultural background.
