I don't really know how far it went, but it was supposed to be launched in 2025 already. Afaik, both Qwant and Ecosia still use Google/Bing.
When I inspected the Android APK, saw the same default assets that can be found in the bsky app sourcecode, e.g. https://github.com/bluesky-social/social-app/blob/main/assets/app-icons/android_icon_core_aurora.png
They only replaced the "ios_icon_default_next" one
@kielkontrovers @_elena it's a fork of bluesky sourcecode, which probably none of them really understands
