@lisamelton on a slight tangent, I once got into trouble with work for participating in a chat about offensive language. I argued that being offensive is a useful tool in interpersonal communication, the main counter argument, and the one that started the conversation, was that foul language was always unacceptable. Throughout the discussion I was very careful not to use, or endorse, any foul language. Offending idiots is the right of all free thinking people.

@lisamelton I take deep offence at the implication that techbros and transphobes are "motherfuckers". This is immensely insulting to motherfuckers everywhere!

@TimothyRoes @lisamelton I would like to point out that when I joined Facebook that was the default feed algorithm, when I joined Twitter that was the default feed algorithm. Now them changing that default wasn't why I left those platforms, but it certainly didn't help.

That the default automatic feed algorithm is "posts of accounts you follow in chronological order" is beside the point, it's still an algorithm, it's still the default, and it's still automatic.
