I heard a rumor that there was a reality show in Demmark called something like Gay Army, where they took the gayest men they could find in Denmark, and basically put them through army boot camp and then they had to fight a fake battle against the real army in the finale.

Am I being tricked?

So, I was watching this video by a historian I like on YouTube, and the video was about how high the infant mortality rate was in Medieval times, and I commented that a lot of women died young in childbirth as well. Seems pretty innocuous, and demonstrably true, right?

Apparently, I angered the men of the internet who raged that MEN ALSO DIED!

I had no idea so many men died in childbirth!

The thing with being on and posting on Mastodon a lot is we get weird windows into what we are all thinking about, or at least what we are distracting ourselves with, so we aren't in constant panic about the world.
