@malte I recall an article many years ago from a social geography course that drew a parallel between bad treatment of animals and humans: specifically I think it was treatment of native American people and wolves in the American west. The thesis, iirc was about how dehumanising people by calling them animals also led to people treating animals worse.

Spent a full day off setting up community website with email, events etc for parents village in England. If not for me, it would t happen, but wouldn't it be great if e.g. Danish style @datacoop was locally available everywhere ?
