This, but in 2026, it's all AI agents with: ASK the butthole for help! -
Regarding the Danfoss fridge thing doing the rounds in the media - there’s several thousand of them that are directly internet facing.@GossiTheDog It's like the excuse of all excuses. Remember APTs back in the early 2000s (maybe it was the early 2010s), and everybody got so sick of that term because that's what everybody would say: "Oh, we were breached. It must have been an APT." No, your security just sucks. Now it's, "Oh, we've been breached. It was an agentic storm of rogue AI." No, your security just sucks.

"AI" is a failed technology, in the sense that it's neither fit for purpose, nor a likely path to its stated end goal of "AGI", but a lot of people's profits currently depend on pretending it's not.@Gargron I disagree with calling it a failed technology. The Google Brain project that spun up the topology that made the LLMs in 2016 functional was a huge step forward in machine learning in general. We've been working on AI for 70 years. No matter what they want to call it, it's more than a fucking chatbot. We need to progress this. We just need to stop treating it like it's something it isn't.

I asked a trusted colleague for comments on a written document and they fed it in to chatGPT and sent me back that output and I just want to cry.@frincon @sundogplanets @ravenbait Unless you own the mail server, it's being used anyway. Guarantee it.
