For all we know it's really easy'a handle those sorta things in the real world but this universe's simulateda make't look hard. It's also a good counterargument for y the "human batteries wouldn't work cause conservation of energy" argument doesn't really work against the Matrix, cause physics within the Matrix could work differently than physics outside the Matrix (n given the Matrix's designed by machines who'd wanna do everything so humans believe it's not a simulation, it kinda makes sense they would be different, no?)
