Just so you know about my intensely scholarly efforts this evening: I wondered what the earliest known smiley face in the world is. -
Just so you know about my intensely scholarly efforts this evening: I wondered what the earliest known smiley face in the world is.@chumblyface I thought the answer might be something like the 1960's, which just shows you how much I know about the history of smiley faces. ***literally nothing***
So yeah, apparently The Smiley Face has ancestral DNA. Who knew?

It is found on a 3, 700 year Hittite pot found in Turkey, with the classic two dots and curved line.
You are welcome!

Holy shit you guys we just watched #Artemis go from the plane -
Holy shit you guys we just watched #Artemis go from the planeI think from the plane's perspective they were far enough away, but from the ground the plane looked close enough to the rocket to make me scrunch up my face and try to do mental math involving a rocket traveling south on a vertical incline 100 degrees at 7.8 to 7.9 kms/s and a plane traveling north at 965 km/hr.....
adjust for wind, carry the one, try not to have a small heart attack.... -
Holy shit you guys we just watched #Artemis go from the plane@samvarma I totally saw your plane. I was like, *who* is flying that plane that close to a rocket launch, OMG.
