@chu that's not gaslighting (the deliberate and prolonged manipulation of someone's environment and feeding them ideas/narratives counter to reality to make that person doubt their own grasp of reality, and to encourage them to believe only you, the abuser, and nobody else - not even themselves - to make them extremely vulnerable to your manipulation)

Jokes aside, politicians need to be held accountable for their (in)actions and those making obscene amounts of money sticking to fossil fuels and pumping out pollution need to be contained (but they have very good PR people and can afford influence). -

yes, car manufacturers and policymakers have a responsibilty for motorist supremacy, but you can't just buy an SUV and wash your hands: »why aren't the politicians doing anything about the climate?«driving is a choice. making that choice means being okay with flattening a certain amount of deer, rabbits, frogs, snakes, foxes, mice and badgers, and making the city streets unsafe for kids as well as grown ups, and polluting air and water with exhaust and microplastics.
similarly, the US gun lobby has a responsibilty for gun violence, but that doesn't absolve the person who pulls the trigger.
