Jokes aside, politicians need to be held accountable for their (in)actions and those making obscene amounts of money sticking to fossil fuels and pumping out pollution need to be contained (but they have very good PR people and can afford influence). -

yes, car manufacturers and policymakers have a responsibilty for motorist supremacy, but you can't just buy an SUV and wash your hands: »why aren't the politicians doing anything about the climate?«driving is a choice. making that choice means being okay with flattening a certain amount of deer, rabbits, frogs, snakes, foxes, mice and badgers, and making the city streets unsafe for kids as well as grown ups, and polluting air and water with exhaust and microplastics.
similarly, the US gun lobby has a responsibilty for gun violence, but that doesn't absolve the person who pulls the trigger.

@chu Yeah, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and didn't advocate immediately after a shooting...and they just did it anyway, sometimes within minutes of news breaking. My guess if your respective conservative/far-right party will do the same.
