The right-left spectrum reimagined:
fascists who hate and want to kill everybody who is not like them
people who are not so extreme, but support fascists over people who try to be inclusive and empathetic
people who recognize fascism as the most dangerous ideology, but use fascist methods (like discriminatory violent language) against fascists (which never hurts fascists, but only marginalized groups)
people who try to be allies to groups marginalized by fascists by starting in-fights with the group mentioned before
people who are allies to marginalized groups while at the same time being empathetic to all before mentioned groups and instead of picking fights with them, they listen and try to understand them and gently try to encourage them to do small steps further to the left.
------
(Most people are in different groups depending on what you look at. E.g. not everybody who uses AI is in the second group in all aspects of their being.)
I'm mostly in the 4th group, trying to move on to the 5th. It's not easy and we would do good remembering that and recognizing that constantly being criticised doesn't make it easier.
I see a lot of posts and pictures of protest signs with very problematic language and I have yet to find a more constructive way to deal with that than by calling out the sexualized violence, ableism, body-shaming and whatnot, angrily.
