I don't know him, I don't know what books he wrote, I never heard of him, but he just became one of my favorite writers.
@MichelPatrice I know his books, and I can tell you his personality matches the books exactly
I recommend Anxious People, to start with.

@flexghost great speech, and pretty much how i imagine him to be. read everything he's published so far, and not been disappointed once. Folk med ångest / Mina Vänner (anxious people, my friends) are my favs.

I am slowly becoming Fredrik Backman.
The procrastination has always been there, to some degree. The anxiety is new...ish. The depression too. At first, the depression was personal and seemed to make sense. The anxiety, who knew? Years on, they've swapped, though, as I become more and more Swedish, more pieces go missing.

...All that's missing now is the writing. Not too long ago, I sent birthday wishes to a friend's son. Walked around with the words in my head for six weeks before typing them out. Surprised myself with how satisfying it continues to feel.

@flexghost Anxiety, check. Depression, check. Procrastination, check. A job where I only interact with people I make up, awesome.
Therefore, I should be a writer. Maybe later.
