Nailing the hashtags is the Mastodon equivalent of what we used to call Google Fu (mastery of Boolean searches) before Google sabotaged search. @RachelThornSub Canning is a precise job; the same as baking, I would say. I just said "I don't know if I want to learn more about pickling" and I got good advice from a complete stranger. mastodon is magical sometimes.

I have seen the most obscure queries answered on here. There was a time when I thought Twitter must be better for that sort of thing. I was so wrong. -
