@JBrickelt963 I've posted a query about this in a related issue on Tusky's Github, hopefully the devs may give an answer:https://github.com/tuskyapp/Tusky/issues/3954
@MaryPot Yeah, if you remember the exact name of the custom emoji, you can start by typing :angrycat and it will appear in the suggestions. The more general keywords don't seem to work with custom emoji.
@sennoma It's because servers only show posts and replies that have federated to them. However, Mastodon is currently testing an update which would fetch all replies in a thread even if they haven't federated yet. More info in the article linked in the post: https://fedi.tips/i-can-see-a-reply-in-my-timeline-on-mastodon-but-i-dont-know-the-context-how-do-i-see-the-discussion-it-belongs-to/
feditips@social.growyourown.services correct, it mutes just that branch, because Mastodon doesn’t understand that the entire reply tree is something that can exist.
When you mute a topic on NodeBB you mute it for good
@katzenberger There is a separate guide for apps in general which includes smartphone apps and frontends:️ https://fedi.tips/which-apps-can-i-use-should-i-use-the-official-app-or-a-third-party-app/
@raineyday Ah, hang on... do you want to see some topics from people you follow, but not from strangers?Or do you want the filtered topics hidden no matter who is talking about them?
@Frannoval If you're comfortable using Github, you can vote for this by giving a thumbs up at https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/20188(I've just given it a thumbs up myself as it does seem to be a good idea!)I've added a link to the issue in the fedi.tips guide in case others want to vote too.
@irene That would be more difficult as different parts of the world use different date orders, and even within a region some people spell the year out in full while others just give the last two digits.I don't know of any agreed standard for this in hashtags.
