@moelholm had a one hour rest during the night and just took another half our for breakfast (or sleep perhaps?
) Just a short 3½ hour run left now, before the race ends at noon
I hope the new shoes have proven to be as good for this race as @moelholm mentioned they were on the test runs during the week.
It will be interesting to hear how everything went!

#Running for 12 hours straight is definitely not something I'll be doing anytime soon, but @moelholm just did, and immediately started doing it again.
Around 111111 meters and counting here at midnight.
I wonder if they can almost run the course in their sleep now.
Nicky just finished the 57th repeat, if that kind of pace is being kept during the last part of the run he'll pass 200km in 24 hours
Until recently I had no idea that this Danish championship of 24h running existed!

I've been on a run myself, but just a short 5km.
@moelholm on the other hand is passing the 40 rounds mark now, equally to just shy of 80 km.
No time to sit down for dinner I guess!!!
I was about to say "damn, I missed the halfway mark at six o'clock (they started at noon) but then remembered it's not 12 hours of running, it's actually 24!
It's the Le Mans of running! And you dont get to switch drivers!And yes, that 80 km in 8 hours, 10 km/h average so far!
And 14th overall!

@nerdd it was indeed very silly
. But there were 800 in total ish over all the different races yesterday. 85 I believe started the Danish championship… so it is nice to be among fellow silly folks. In fact I think I spottet a lot of friend pairs that just decided to take on these hour challenge (3,6,12,24) 🤩

Extreme event! Can't imagine the top three with all those extra km in the bag! Looks like some of them didn't waste time sleeping!

🤩Glad to hear that the shoes worked with you instead of against you. That's one of my biggest worries when I'm running longer (Well... Shorter) distances (like half marathon).
