    @davidrevoy While it hasn't happened to me as much (in part because I only post here really and am not as well known or popular of an artist), it is devastating every time someone makes that accusation.

    I find that the people making accusations usually just have a feeling, and then pile on the confirmation bias as they search for reasons in the art itself to justify their feeling.

    Keep doing what you do. It's invaluable. Even if there are those who can't be bothered to do the research, having real art made by real artists is so important right now.

    @ziphi Thank you. Yes, the confirmation bias; on the one I posted yesterday, I forgot at the end to add the decals of the 'AI stars' on the wing of the parrot, on panel 1. That's usually something I do at the end, after shading, just glazing this type of decals. I received probably three comments about this specific detail, under a suspicious angle.
    Sometime, I'm really tempted to paint a hand with 6 fingers, turn the color balance to yellow on purpose, and create more inconsistencies to react.

      @davidrevoy

      Suddenly, it reminds me of Clarice Lispector's text "The smallest woman in the world", published in her "Family ties". This short story tell how readers of a newspaper reacted to a full page of a pygmy woman found in Equatorial Africa.

        @Cyani Oui, même sur la dernière BD, quelqu'un c'est mis en tête de décortiquer mon timelapse pour prouver que c'était de l'IA: pretextant l'apparition subite d'un pinceau, etc... Ce genre de détails. Alors que ma capture d'image est réglé sur une capture toute les 10 secondes pour pas stressé ma machine pendant le travail; et que je suis largement capable de dessiner plein de détails sous cette barre des dix secondes ce qui les fait apparaître. Bref, quand quelqu'un⋅e est persuadé⋅e...

        @davidrevoy

        Je suis curieux de comprendre la démarche de ces personnes.

        Préserver l'Art et les artistes en dénigrant les rendus de l'IA ? Dans ce cas supposer par défaut que c'est un rendu de l'IA conduit au contraire à dénigrer les artistes.

        Vanter les capacités des IA ? C'est justement parce qu'il y a des artistes talentueu·se·s à plagier qu'il devient plus difficile de distinguer les rendus d'IA récents.

        Pourquoi s'adresser à toi comme ça ?
        J'ai l'impression d'être à côté de la plaque.

          @arfisk @arabine Interesting (the groupement, not the pope part 😆 ), I'll investigate a bit this group/association and evaluate if it worth subscribing to it. Thank you for the link.

            @davidrevoy you've been here drawing before AI was a thing. What about the youngsters ; they'll have even more hard time with these.

              @Cyani Idem. Je pense à l’incrédulité par rapport à la technique. Le sentiment "qu'il doit forcement y avoir tricherie".
              Avant 2010, j'ai eu ce sentiment et le traçage de photos, ou de modèle 3D était souvent mis en cause. Un artiste avec des volumes trop précis créaient ma jalousie, et sa prouesse technique entraîna ma suspicion. J'ai pas commenté heureusement! 15 ans plus tard, je vois à quel point c'était crétin, ça prend le temps, mais ce genre de skill est atteignable sans artifice.

                @davidrevoy @Cyani Moi en tout cas je suis très admiratif de ta technique, et du résultat — j’aime vraiment beaucoup tes dessins 🙂

                (j’ai un peu ri devant certains commentaires, notamment ceux qui attaquent le D20 qui a pourtant *clairement* été dessiné avec un vrai sous les yeux)

                  @davidrevoy I'm sure this won't make much of a difference but if it helps at all, I never got an AI vibe from any of your (beautifully drawn BTW) comics. No idea what these people are seeing beyond the whole "Everyone I disagree with is a bot" thing going a little overboard lately.

                  Maybe you should start your next comic with a character saying "You're absolutely right" just to mess with them 😉

                    How does one detect AI? Just what they think, or do they use an AI run AI detector? And if'n its the latter, does that mean AI is taking credit for your work?

                          @chuff No, it's more like, 'If they think it looks like AI, they'll find any evidence (inconsistencies, anatomical issues, stylistic differences) to confirm their bias.'
