Mastodon supports posting audio files as well as videos and images. Audio is played using a dedicated player if your app or interface supports it.
The audio can be any length as long as the file size is below your server's limit (usually 99mb). Formats are MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, OPUS, AAC or 3GP.
I've attached an example audio and artwork to this post, if your app or interface supports it you can play it below.

The image is artwork I added when uploading the audio file. As it's an electronic piece, I added a public domain photo of some LEDs
The artwork is optional, if you don't include any artwork it shows your profile image in the player.
The spikes around the artwork are (I think) some kind of graphic equaliser display. If you're on a server running the experimental branch of Mastodon, the web player may show curves instead of spikes.

You're on Friendica so that handles the player in its own software?

@FediTips
Yes it does. with me. -
Oh no, sorry to hear, could you explain a bit more about "pre selection for delete"?

@FediTips
Yes it does. with me.The circle view is generated by Mastodon's web interface software, so it wouldn't be visible on Friendica.
