Imagine sitting on a trillion dollars and deciding the best use of your time was stirring up hatred and violence.
If you spent $1 million a day…you would still need 2700 years to spend your fortune.
You could solve world hunger…that would cost less than 1% of global military spending:
https://news.un.org/en/story/2025/11/1166397
$93 billion a year.
But getting poor people to riot and destroy other poor people’s homes and infrastructure must tickle some inhumane part of #Musk’s brain.

@JugglingWithEggs I doubt Musk is actually tweeting himself...
And I doubt it's done without the go ahead from the people in charge.
Governments want people to riot, so they can take away more freedoms.
That's how my brain works anyway
it's all a show. Orchestrated. -

Musk already turned down a plan to end world hunger. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-said-hed-6-220133724.html?guccounter=1

@JugglingWithEggs @LJ if I had a trillion dollars I’d be spending my time giving it away and using it to restore some sanity. Might move to a house in the mountains with a great view and room for the dog to run around like a maniac. Put up a cat-proof fence so my cats could go outside if they wanted. Start a cat rescue, fund other ones.
My wife always says “nobody goes hungry on your watch” because I usually buy or make more than enough food for family gatherings or parties. I’d love to make that literally true and see to it everybody eats.

@JugglingWithEggs hoarding wealth is an illness
How much do you need? If your answer is more you are sick

@JugglingWithEggs Even if it cost 20% of military spending, wouldn’t it be worth it? Not if you are #tRump et al.

@SaanichGuy @JugglingWithEggs somebody hoarding stuff in their own home is considered mentally ill. Time for wealth hoarders to be considered the same.

@JugglingWithEggs Stirring up hatred and violence is how you end up with a trillion dollars in a completely broken and corrupt system.

Remember the date of the paper.
It was written before the 2025 roll-out of solar farms, and before the 2026 bombing of Iran, which has increased the speed of the current transition to renewables, so the current figures will be a smaller percentage of the overall Global Energy Production.
This was also before the rollout of the Chinese automated "Dark Factories" in 2025, so Global Productivity has increased as well.

@JugglingWithEggs
Tempting to think people starve because others like it that way.
Difficult to solve.
Money is promises, and work is done by people, and I think it is non-trivial to turn the assets owned by billionaires into something good for others.Worthwhile, but many discrete tasks.

@SaanichGuy @JugglingWithEggs I do this thing from time to time, where I take a set number of millions (usually 3, but sometimes 10) and work out how much interest is accrued per week based on 3.75% interest. I look at the result and I ask myself, if they can't live on that much per week, how in touch with reality are these shit biscuits?
