@GossiTheDog HCaptcha is Mastodon's only CAPTCHA option, and that poses accessibility concerns. You may be inadvertently preventing users with some disabilities from signing up on your instance before they reach the pending approval stage.

The worst case is that the rich and Powerful are allowed to do whatever whereas People Like Us would be aggressively hunted under the law so we have to avoid that outcome

if we can get someone on Fedi anywhere, that's 90% of the battle and they can slowly learn from there at their own pace

Instead of banning stuff, why don't they just remove the Anti circumvention law that the US shoved down the throats of all its trading partners under threat of tariffs in order to keep US big tech monopoly? I mean, we already got the tariffs

@GossiTheDog France could follow suit. The SREN law is more surgical, and they are already investigating X for a number of other issues.
