Which is why their next step will be to keep the human operator, at which point they will A. pretend like this was the idea all along & B. try to obfuscate the fact that said operators will have to be slaves for your robot butler to work - people in 3rd world countries more or less literally chained inside operator farms & paid even less than they would be as an actual servant.
And just like now, the fawning tech press will be right there to help them.
