You have to learn to love yourself despite knowing way too much about yourself

@donni See, that's my problem. Why would I love myself if I have clearly not earned the right to do so?

You have to learn to love yourself despite knowing way too much about yourself

If i have a bad personality, do I need to love myself still or change that personality to a better one? -
@donni
We must imagine Sisyphus happythe path out of the trap of nihilism

If i have a bad personality, do I need to love myself still or change that personality to a better one?i say it's a balance
you should love yourself, but not approve of your bad behaviors
and you should better yourself, but not by treating yourself like shit

I mean, you actually know where that's been

Internalized criticism is hard to undo. Especially when your only support network is the one that made the external criticism in the first place. So I'm not entirely sure on how to apply the "unrequited" advice, but guess I can meditate it

If i have a bad personality, do I need to love myself still or change that personality to a better one?@nuwagaba2 @donni if you decide you need to change something about yourself, the best way to make it happen is to think of it as a gift to yourself - loving isn't incompatible with wanting change, they're deeply intertwined.

If you love yourself, won't you wish to be a better person? -
@TimPhon
If you love yourself, won't you wish to be a better person?@nuwagaba2 At one level, loving myself means that am worth loving even as I am, without any change. At another level, loving myself means wishing the best for me, which includes reaching my highest potential, so yes, I do want to improve, because I am worth it.
tl;dr: yes, loving myself leads to wanting to be a better person; but no, loving myself doesn't require any change until I am ready for it
