I like Walz and morally tend to side with the dems on most things. But as good as the speech is, its just a speech.What's next, is Chuck Schumer going to consider issuing a strongly worded memorandum in a few months? Is Jeffries gonna vigorously pump his arms around and and strongly stab his index finger to reinforce his valid critique in his next stump speech?
It feels like the dems are going to a gun fight with bananas and clown feet. I hope I'm wrong.

️ (2/2) I understand that #Walz is doing the best he can, and that he and #Frey want to avoid full #civilwar (against someone, who has "bigger guns", like Frey stated), but if the democratic senators and mayors are not activating the national guard and the local police immediately AGAINST #ICE, to protect citizens, the States will be totally lost to the fascist occupators. At this point, the US still has more possibilities than my german ancestors in 1933. But maybe not for long. -

I know a lot of people are convinced ACAB, but it's time for folks to figure out that we need all the help, a.k.a. firepower, we can get, even if it's just 600 cops vs. 3000 ICE agents.
Trump wants chaos. IMHO, anyone who panders to him in that regard is on his side.

for instance, just one law that allows the president to call up state guards, with or without the consent of a governor, 10 U.S.C. § 12406
also, nothing bars the president from commanding state guards after a governor has called them up
