@azteclady This was so obviously going to happen, just as the privacy advocates warned. While it's probably sheer incompetence on the part of governments, every digital spook in every intelligence service, and every cybercriminal will have been salivating when they read the news that the third-party verification companies weren't even going to be strictly regulated. These are fly-by-night outfits with no interest in securing our sensitive personal documents, and no incentives to do so either.
