@afewbugs The older our cat gets, the more often I get anxious and have to make sure that she's still breathing. Luckily she breathes fairly visibly so I only have to look at her for a few seconds.

@Gulleko after he failed to respond to all the bustling noises of us getting out of bed I eventually found him lying on his back with his head under the ramp of the cat tree, which was a scary few seconds until I noticed him breathing

So the same cat almost gave my wife (who is working from home) a heart attack later in the day - he started walking oddly and then sitting down and she panicked that he was losing control of his back legs in the heat, then realised he had a poo stuck to his bum

@moonrabbit when I was a kid we had a dog with the opposite problem, if it was snowing and you let him out to pee you had to go out with him and physically drag him back in when he had finished, otherwise he'd just stay out there eating the snow till he was shivering

@afewbugs Fiona has finally accepted that the rabbits do not want frozen bottles of water in their run. They stay as far away from them as possible.
