@BlytheCycles If they can hire thousands of extra ICE goons, they can hire more prosecutors and judges to deal with the fallout from Epstein. Of course they very much do not want to do that.

So society created a legal system. It's slow and imperfect, but it's the next best thing to justice that humans have invented.
If the leader of the US legal system sincerely says there's a problem too severe for the legal system to resolve, then I guess we can either use mob violence or simply ignore the problem. So you can think about the situation and decide for yourself.

@BlytheCycles fun story, this is actually the same reason slavery was allowed to continue up until the 1940's in the US even though it had been abolished. Theodore Roosevelt wanted to end it during his term, but his secret service agents got shot at and reported back that the whole system would collapse... So it wasn't really dealt with until WWII.
Even then, slavery remains technically legal and an important part of the US economy.
It's the whole system, and the collapse of something like that is the best possible outcome.

@BlytheCycles the system survived the loss of Epstein, who was a big figure in knitting it all together, and I don't see any reason to think it wouldn't survive the loss of the others. There are plenty waiting in the wings to take their places. It's not likely that any special talent is required.
