As my colleague pointed out, that's more than the current launch rate for the world (245 launches so far this year according to https://orbitalradar.com/satellite-launch-log), from a single site that was sold to the public as a testing and development site.
@sundogplanets have you considered tapping into the conspiracy theory group who were freaking out over chemtrails?

@sundogplanets it’s absolutely boggling how much of an acceleration and fundamental shift this is.

@sundogplanets
That characterization by them likely saves them multi-millions in taxes. It's the same ruse data centers are using. -

@sundogplanets Musk is filling our skies with his spy satellites. Use Apple Night Sky and check out how many Starlink satellites are already littering our planet. It’s just trash used for his personal gain. I say we blow them out of orbit forever then put everyone in jail. This is all so stupid.

@FediThing @sundogplanets Not for anyone with more money than brains. The eagerness with which they burn vast amounts of money is quite the contrast with the billionaires' forced austerity upon the rest of us.
He might intend to build another launchpad.

Has anybody remarked that this is very much a ploy to hog all launch capacity?
It’s sort of like what’s happened with memory storage space and GPUs
The AI companies are busy buying up chips they can’t even use. It’s a strategy to starve competitors of resources as much as a fomo dynamic

Orbital debris and the market for satellites
"…Debris follows an accumulation process…we consider two main sources: #launches and collisions. Different from any other source of pollution, the dynamics of orbital debris includes a self-propagating mechanism, whereby pollution generates additional pollution…debris collides not only with satellites but also with other pieces of debris, producing additional debris. The law of motion of debris is given by…"

@Npars01 @sundogplanets
I know I am stating the obvious but we need a worldwide concerted effort to stop this monster the USA created.@Npars01 @sundogplanets
Well it looks like it was the Pentagon that restricted Starlink.

@sundogplanets
It seemed ok when Gore Vidal was doing it? -

They plan to continue to control orbit ("control" until they Kesslerize it, I guess)
Looks really interesting,
