@jayo I have read that the gills glow in the dark. The photo in my mushroom book shows them glowing greenish. Very spooktober!

Saw these in NY recently! Not with a nice frog, but I was still excited by their color. I wonder what their mycelium feeds on? Living wood? Dead wood? Other mushrooms? Something more exotic?
I also met a very friendly carpenter ant nearby and she was happy to rest on my hand and warm up for a bit.
@futurebird @jayo Do they glow in the dark like the western ones are supposed to? (Never seen them myself. . .)
